*World Cancer Day 2026 organized at District Hospital Reasi* Today, on 04th February 2026, under the direction of Dr. Abdul Hamid Zarger, Director Health Services Jammu, and with the direct supervision of Chief Medical Officer Reasi, Dr. Mohd Ashraf Kholi, “World Cancer Day 2026” was organized at District Hospital Reasi. The event, which emphasized the theme *United by Unique* was held under the guidance of Dr. Gopal Dutt, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Reasi. The program commenced with a welcome address, followed by insightful presentations delivered by student speakers from Government Nursing College Reasi, who spoke on various aspects of cancer awareness and the challenges faced by individuals during health emergencies. A brief overview of the aims and objectives of World Cancer Day 2026 was presented by Dr. M. Y. Khan, Deputy Chief Medical Officer Reasi. Dr. Arti Thakur, Medical Officer, Sh Naresh Sharma Sr Pharmacist also addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of early detection, prevention, and timely treatment of cancer. While addressing the participants, Dr. Gopal Dutt, Medical Superintendent, highlighted the need for creating awareness about cancer and stressed collective efforts at all levels to ensure better healthcare outcomes and patient support. The event was hosted by Sh. Sumeet Sawhney, Data Assistant. The program concluded with a vote of thanks to all participants, including paramedical staff, counselors, staff members of District Hospital Reasi, and students from Government ANM School Reasi, for their active participation and support .
